It would not be wrong to say that Ram Gopal Varma remember Sarkar’s while watching Rann, though the two films are as different as chalk and cheese. Remember Sarkar because Rann is a film as powerful showing the world that we have seen only from the outside. Rann is for those who enjoy serious cinema. It is more intellectuals for thinking viewer. Definitely not for those who seek refuge in frivolous masala capers.
